Russia's Defense Ministry stated on Monday that its forces had struck port infrastructure in Chornomorsk, near Odesa, which it claimed was used for unloading military cargo. The ministry reported that targets included fuel storage tanks and an ammunition warehouse, as well as two ferries and a container ship.
Ukrainian agricultural group Kernel Holding announced on Monday that it had suspended operations at Chornomorsk after its assets sustained significant damage during Russian missile and drone attacks between July 10 and 12. The company stated that the strike hit its facilities at night, damaging its own buildings but sparing employees.
Separately, Russia conducted a combined attack on November 24-25, severely damaging several major Ukrainian businesses, including the key retail grocery store chain Novus and major textile distributor Textile-Contact. In Kyiv, a missile strike destroyed parts of the logistics center of Novus, killing four supplier-truck drivers and injuring five others. The company stated it is rerouting logistics and does not expect shortages in stores.
Additionally, a Russian drone damaged a civilian Panama-flagged vessel transporting corn near the Chornomorsk port in the Black Sea Odesa region. The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported the incident, stating the vessel was hit while en route out of the port and some crew members were injured.
