During a phone call, the two leaders underscored their commitment to coordinating on regional security, safeguarding maritime routes, and ensuring lasting peace. Prime Minister Sharif had arrived in Doha on Thursday for an official visit, accompanied by a high-level delegation, and met with the Qatari ruler to discuss regional peace and cooperation. The Qatari ruler praised Pakistan's role in de-escalation efforts, and both sides expressed support for enhancing international coordination for regional security and stability, particularly concerning energy supply chains.
Earlier, Sharif held talks in Jeddah with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, briefing him on Pakistan's diplomatic outreach aimed at easing tensions, including efforts related to potential US-Iran ceasefire talks. The Saudi crown prince welcomed Pakistan's role in promoting dialogue.
