This attack occurred during Kuwait's Eid al-Fitr celebrations and followed Israel's bombing of Iran's South Pars offshore natural gas field.

The tanker was fully loaded and sustained damage, with a warning issued about a possible oil spill. The safety of the 24 crew members was secured.
In the UAE, an administrative building in Sharjah was targeted by an Iranian drone, and UAE air defenses were engaged in intercepting missiles and drones. Debris from a ballistic missile interception caused fires in Abu Dhabi, resulting in six injuries.
Kuwait has also reported that Iranian drone attacks damaged two power and water desalination plants and sparked fires at two oil facilities, though no injuries were recorded. Significant material damage was reported to the plants, causing the outage of two electricity-generating units.
