Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced that one of its oil facilities was struck by "repeated Iranian attacks" on Saturday, leading to substantial material damage and injuries. The injured received medical attention, and the site was evacuated. The Kuwaiti Center for Government Communication confirmed that hostile ballistic missiles and drones were detected and intercepted within Kuwait's airspace since dawn.
The attacks extended to military, security, vital, and civilian facilities, including those in the oil, electricity, and water sectors, resulting in fires and significant damage. Firefighting and repair operations have commenced. Several members of the General Fire Force and oil sector workers sustained injuries while on duty and are receiving medical care. Debris from intercepted attacks also fell in residential areas, causing material damage but no human casualties.
Kuwait strongly condemned the Iranian aggression, asserting that these repeated attacks on critical infrastructure violate international law and endanger civilians.
