Iran orders reconstruction of infrastructure damaged in US attacks

During a high-level meeting, President Pezeshkian presented a detailed briefing on the damage caused by the US strikes. Strengthening cooperation with neighboring nations was also identified as a key government priority.

Pezeshkian further instructed relevant authorities to accelerate the rebuilding of damaged infrastructure and to enhance the country's transport system, aiming for greater strength, safety, and efficiency. Earlier reports indicated that the US military maintained its naval blockade against Iran, with a senior official from President Donald Trump's administration suggesting that while diplomacy is preferred, Iran has been shown the consequences of not engaging seriously.

Earlier statements from Pezeshkian condemned threats against critical infrastructure, including transportation, electricity, and water systems, viewing them as indicative of weakness and desperation rather than military strength amid escalating tensions with the United States.
