Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit South Korea from August 19 to 20 for a two-day official trip, marking his first visit in five years. The trip, at the invitation of South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, aims to discuss bilateral relations and regional affairs, including developments on the Korean Peninsula. Wang Yi will also meet with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac. The visit precedes the APEC summit in November and is seen as an opportunity to review progress in restoring ties and prepare for future high-level exchanges.
