Mandopop musician Wang Leehom has confirmed that he has converted his endorsement fee from BYD's luxury Denza brand into company shares. The move is drawing attention as a novel advertising strategy in China's competitive auto market.
Wang Leehom stated his confidence in BYD's long-term development, expressing regret over not investing in the company a decade ago when he first collaborated with them. He believes such an earlier investment could have yielded a fivefold return.
Denza recently launched its flagship N9 flash charging edition, priced at 409,800 yuan. This SUV features BYD's latest Blade Battery technology and rapid charging capabilities, allowing it to charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes.
