Defense technology firm Neros Technologies has reportedly raised $250 million in a new financing round, tripling its valuation to $2.5 billion. This significant increase in valuation comes as demand grows for domestically manufactured military drones.
The new valuation marks a substantial jump from its November 2025 Series B round, where its post-money valuation was approximately $794 million. Sequoia Capital and American Strategic Technology Fund reportedly co-led the latest round, with participation from Thiel Capital and other existing investors.
Neros has also secured a significant contract with the U.S. Army, potentially worth up to $500 million, to supply its Archer first-person-view drones. This contract is an indefinite-delivery arrangement, representing one of the largest opportunities for the young drone manufacturer.
The company, founded in 2023 by former competitive drone racers Soren Monroe-Anderson and Olaf Hichwa, has focused on building drones that can compete economically with Chinese systems while utilizing American and allied-country supply chains. Neros has expanded its manufacturing capacity, moving into a 250,000-square-foot facility in Torrance, California, and has reported surpassing production of 1,000 drones in a single week. The company has set a goal of reaching an annual production capacity of one million drones by 2028.
Prior to this latest financing, Neros had raised approximately $35 million in a Series A led by Vy Capital and $10.9 million in earlier seed financing. The Series B round in November 2025 had raised $75 million, bringing its total capital raised to over $120 million at the time.
