In a separate development, Japan-based Metaplanet has moved 3,881 Bitcoin (BTC) to new self-custody wallets. This transfer involved approximately $247 million worth of BTC. Metaplanet's total holdings now stand at 43,000 BTC, which were originally purchased for $4.41 billion. The current market value of these holdings has resulted in an unrealized loss of nearly $1.6 billion for the company.
