The XRP Ledger is approaching a critical deadline for its version 3.2.0 upgrade, with node operators having less than one week to update their software. According to XRPL validator Vet, nodes that do not comply with the upgrade by the deadline may experience service interruptions. This warning highlights the ongoing migration process, as current network statistics indicate that while validator adoption for v3.2.0 has surged to over 66%, a significant portion of nodes, approximately 37.75%, are still running the older version 3.1.3.
The v3.2.0 release includes infrastructure improvements, bug fixes, and developer enhancements, notably the protocol modification XLS-0095, which renames the server software from rippled to xrpld. This transition began on June 15 and involves changes to configuration paths, deployment scripts, and database directories.
Additionally, the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment has met the required validator voting threshold, securing 85.71% support. This amendment is now in a two-week activation countdown and is scheduled to be activated on July 29, 2026, at 09:57 UTC, provided validator support remains above 80%. The fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment addresses accuracy and rounding issues related to Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol, and also resolves bugs on the Permissioned DEX and Permissioned Domains.
