Ondo Finance has appointed Adam Schlisman, formerly the chief financial officer of Blockchain.com and Monashee Investment Management, to lead its finance operations as the company expands its tokenized securities platform. Schlisman's appointment comes as Ondo's tokenized real-world asset platform has surpassed $3.5 billion in total value locked across its products, including U.S. Treasuries and stocks.
Schlisman, who previously spent nearly a decade in portfolio management and risk roles at Graham Capital Management, stated that Ondo is at an inflection point, moving from early adoption to institutional scale in tokenized markets. His mandate is to build the financial infrastructure to support this growth.
The tokenization sector is experiencing rapid expansion, with traditional financial institutions increasingly adopting blockchain technology to improve settlement times and market access. Ondo's platform is available on Solana, Ethereum, and BNB Chain and integrates with various exchanges, wallets, and custodians.
Separately, Ondo Finance is reportedly exploring a potential acquisition valued between $250 million and $500 million.
