Marex Group, a financial services firm listed on Nasdaq, has made an undisclosed investment in Digital Prime Technologies, a provider of institutional crypto infrastructure. This move highlights the increasing interest from traditional finance in the digital asset sector.

The investment is intended to accelerate the development of Tokenet, a platform for digital asset lending and borrowing created by Digital Prime in collaboration with EquiLend. Marex stated that this investment aligns with its strategy to expand its institutional digital assets operations.

Last week, Digital Prime announced that Tokenet had achieved over $1 billion in available lending inventory and more than $1 billion in expressed borrowing demand from its initial partners. These figures represent the assets available for lending and the volume of institutional borrowing interest, not necessarily completed transactions. Among the launch partners were Galaxy Digital and Ripple Prime.
