Interstice Digital, a subsidiary of Everyrealm, has launched a new non-custodial cross-chain swap engine in collaboration with FalconX. This engine aims to connect the institutional-focused Canton Network with major public blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, and Robinhood Chain. The technology allows for the seamless swapping of assets across these networks without Interstice taking custody of the assets or executing transactions on behalf of users. FalconX, a prime brokerage for institutional investors, is providing the necessary liquidity for this engine. The integration is designed to bridge Canton's institutional tokenized-asset markets with the broader liquidity and trading activity found on public blockchains. Canton Network itself is built for institutional finance, incorporating privacy and permissioning controls suitable for regulated transactions and tokenized assets, and its ecosystem includes prominent financial institutions such as JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and BNP Paribas. Interstice Digital is supported by investors including a16z Crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Galaxy, and Brevan Howard. The company has not yet disclosed the specific assets supported by the engine or its transaction volume figures. This development occurs amidst increasing adoption of Canton by traditional financial institutions for tokenized assets and blockchain-based settlement. Recent examples include Tradeweb's execution of an onchain US Treasury trade, Societe Generale's deployment of stablecoins for institutional settlement, and Visa's testing of private stablecoin settlement on the network. Other initiatives on Canton involve pilots for Japanese government bond collateral and the placement of S&P Dow Jones Indices' iBoxx US Treasuries Index.
