Syngenta Group announced that Hengde Qin has been appointed as the company's new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2026. Qin, currently the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Seeds, has been a key figure in Syngenta Group's executive team since 2020, holding roles in finance, human resources, and global operations, including leading Syngenta Group China to significant growth. He also previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer for the group. Qin's prior experience includes CEO positions at two publicly listed companies in China and Hong Kong. Fanrong Li, Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in Qin's leadership, citing his operational, financial, and commercial expertise. Rowe, who joined Syngenta in 2016, will remain in his role until August 1 before returning to the United States.
