Alfa Romeo, a premium brand of Stellantis, plans to launch a new mid-sized SUV by the end of 2027. The vehicle will be produced at Stellantis' Melfi plant in southern Italy.

Alfa Romeo, a premium brand under Stellantis, is set to launch a new mid-sized SUV by the end of 2027. This vehicle will be produced at Stellantis' Melfi plant located in southern Italy.
As part of Stellantis' business plan, Alfa Romeo is also slated to introduce a C-segment hatchback by 2030, built on the automaker's new STLA One modular platform. The brand intends to release a revamped version of its existing Junior compact SUV. The current Tonale mid-sized SUV is expected to be replaced by the new model in 2027. Stellantis plans to keep the older Giulia and Stelvio models in production until 2027 while assessing options for future large-sized models.
Additionally, Stellantis is developing new batteries at its Mirafiori plant in Turin to enhance the competitiveness of the electric Fiat 500 city car, with a new generation of the Fiat 500 anticipated from 2030. Stellantis, along with Ferrari and Iveco, has requested the European Commission classify them as energy-intensive companies to become eligible for support measures.
