The Ryder Cup has expanded its global sponsorship roster by signing a deal with Stripe, an Irish-founded financial services firm. Stripe will serve as a worldwide partner for the next two editions of the golf competition, scheduled for 2027 at Adare Manor in Ireland and 2029 at Hazeltine in Minnesota. Additionally, Stripe will become the official payment solutions partner, aiming to enhance the fan experience through cashless transactions.
Stripe's Chief Revenue Officer, Conor McNamara, expressed confidence in the firm's ability to handle the demands of the event, noting that many complex businesses rely on Stripe for their financial infrastructure. Guy Kinnings of the European Tour highlighted the Ryder Cup's status as a major global sporting event, emphasizing the significant operational aspects like ticketing, merchandise, and catering.
