Nottingham Forest has confirmed the departure of head coach Vitor Pereira, with Oliver Glasner reportedly being lined up as his replacement. Pereira, who signed an 18-month contract in February, expressed his surprise and disappointment at the decision, stating it came "as a complete surprise to me and without any warning." He leaves having guided the club to Premier League survival and the Europa League semi-finals last season.
Pereira's coaching staff, including Filipe Almeida, Luis Miguel, Bruno Moura, Marco Knoop, and Pedro Lopes, have also departed the club. Glasner, 51, is a free agent after his contract with Crystal Palace expired. He led Palace to the FA Cup in the 2024-25 season and the Conference League the following campaign. His potential move to Nottingham Forest comes amid previous tensions between the two clubs over European qualification spots.
