NatWest has promoted Abib Bocresion to group chief risk officer (CRO), filling a role that has seen significant turnover. Bocresion, previously CRO for NatWest Markets, joined the bank last year and has prior experience at M&G, Barclays, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. His appointment follows a period of instability in the CRO position, with four individuals holding the role in just over three years.
In other executive moves, JPMorgan Chase has elevated Doug Petno and Troy Rohrbaugh to co-presidents, reporting to CEO Jamie Dimon. Petno will continue as CEO of the commercial and investment bank, while Rohrbaugh takes on the CEO role for consumer and community banking. Marianne Lake, former CEO of CCB, has retired from the bank after 25 years.
CME Group announced that CEO Terry Duffy will step down from his role and transition to executive chairman in March 2027. He will be succeeded by the group's current president and CFO, Lynne Fitzpatrick. Duffy, who has a long history with CME Group starting as a runner in 1980, has spent 25 years in leadership positions.

Scott Lucas has moved from JP Morgan to Barclays to lead digital assets initiatives. Jakob Lavröd has joined Nordea as lead quantitative risk analyst after leaving Handelsbanken. LCH has hired Helen Gordon as its new UK chief operating officer, and Standard Chartered Singapore appointed Alan Leigh as chief control officer for CIB. Oppenheimer has expanded its institutional derivatives business by hiring a team of seven from Guggenheim Industries. Vanguard has appointed Manish Nagar as chief risk officer, succeeding Joe Brennan. Legal & General has appointed Zoe Wimborne as group CRO.
