Madison Air Solutions has announced its intention to acquire the German company ebm-papst in a transaction valued at $5.4 billion. The move is aimed at broadening Madison Air Solutions' existing portfolio in air quality and ventilation solutions.
The Sterling Group previously sold Specified Air Solutions to Madison Industries in 2018. Specified Air Solutions, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, focusing on energy-efficient solutions for indoor air quality, heating, cooling, and dehumidification. Sterling had launched the Specified Air Solutions platform in 2014 and, through organic growth and acquisitions, tripled its size.
