Ford is initiating two separate recalls in the U.S. affecting a total of 110,626 Mustang vehicles. The first recall involves 67,842 Mustang and Mustang GTD models where, under certain cold temperature conditions, the windshield wipers may only operate at their high-speed setting and the washing system might fail. The second recall covers 42,784 Mustang Mach-E vehicles, as the rear differential pinion shaft could fracture. This fracture could lead to a loss of drive power or unintended movement if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake engaged. According to NHTSA, dealers will repair or replace the affected parts free of charge.
