Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced that its firm order backlog reached a record $34.5 billion at the close of the second quarter. This figure represents a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
The commercial aviation segment contributed $15.1 billion to the backlog, marking a 15% rise. The executive aviation backlog grew by 5% to $7.8 billion. The remaining backlog is attributed to Embraer's defense unit, which stands at $6.1 billion, and its services and support business, at $5.5 billion.
Earlier in the month, Embraer reported delivering 65 aircraft during the second quarter, an increase of approximately 7%.
