Edward O’Keefe has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of WNET. O'Keefe brings a wealth of experience from his two decades in broadcast and digital media. Prior to this appointment, he served as an executive at CNN and was the founding editor-in-chief of the media startup NowThis. He also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation. O'Keefe's career began at ABC News, where he spent 12 years before co-founding NowThis. He later joined CNN, holding leadership roles focused on strategy and growth for properties including CNN Money and CNN Politics. During his tenure at CNN, he won an Emmy Award. In 2019, O'Keefe was an Entrepreneur Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center, focusing his research on streaming news and Theodore Roosevelt.
