SpaceX to exclusively use Nvidia GPUs, Elon Musk announces

SpaceX has announced a significant shift in its artificial intelligence computing strategy, with Elon Musk declaring that the company will exclusively use Nvidia GPUs. Musk cited the 'Vera Rubin architecture' as the superior choice for SpaceX's AI needs. This exclusive partnership is anticipated to have a substantial positive effect on Nvidia's financial performance and will exclude rival chip manufacturers from supplying SpaceX's AI hardware.

In a separate development, AMD executives are emphasizing their company's open-source software approach as a distinct advantage over competitors such as Nvidia. They contend that this open strategy fosters more rapid development cycles and encourages wider participation from the tech ecosystem within the highly competitive AI chip market. This contrasts with Nvidia's more proprietary approach.

Furthermore, Elon Musk's Starlink satellite internet service has achieved a significant milestone in the aviation sector. Over 1,400 commercial airplanes are now equipped with Starlink's in-flight Wi-Fi. This expansion is supported by agreements with more than 40 airlines, indicating a rapid adoption of the service for passenger connectivity. The service provides high-speed internet access to passengers at no additional cost.
