Velaura AI has achieved a valuation exceeding $1 billion following a $110 million Series A funding round. The investment, led by Seligman Ventures with participation from Capricorn Investment Group and existing investors Samsung Catalyst Fund, StepStone Group, and Maverick Silicon, will fuel the company's development of low-power chip and software technologies. These technologies are designed to reduce power consumption and operating costs within AI data centers and are also applicable to physical AI applications like robotics and autonomous systems. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and deployment, as well as to expand its engineering and customer-facing teams. Earlier this year, Velaura AI introduced its proprietary Titan Core chip design platform, aimed at enhancing efficiency and power savings for data center workloads. Rajiv Khemani, co-founder and CEO of Velaura AI, stated that the next phase of AI will be characterized by improved compute economics alongside advanced models.
