Spotify is enhancing its mobile application with a new running mode designed for users who listen to music while exercising. This feature leverages AI to curate song selections based on a user's preferences and the desired tempo for different phases of a run, such as interval or steady runs.
Paying subscribers can access the running mode through the Fitness Hub. Users have the ability to customize parameters like workout duration, beats per minute, and music genre. Beyond music playback, the mode can also provide audio cues to guide users through various stages of their run. Currently, this audio cue functionality is limited to English.
