Cybersecurity startup Horizon3 has secured $250 million in Series E funding, achieving a $2 billion valuation and more than tripling its worth in just 14 months. The significant investment underscores growing enterprise demand for advanced security solutions amid escalating AI-driven threats.
Horizon3's NodeZero platform is designed to continuously probe networks for vulnerabilities in a controlled, authorized manner. Chief Revenue Officer Matt Hartley highlighted the platform's ability to test live systems without operational shutdowns, a capability that has challenged other AI-powered tools. Unlike traditional methods that often scan only a small fraction of infrastructure annually, NodeZero examines the entire network continuously.
Last year, Horizon3 approached $100 million in annual recurring revenue with 120% year-over-year growth, and the company anticipates accelerating this growth. The funding round, which included participation from returning investors NightDragon and NEA, as well as new strategic investors like SAIC and Qualcomm, will support international expansion, including new offices in Amsterdam, Australia, and Singapore, alongside continued substantial investment in research and development.
The company's founders, Snehal Antani and Anthony Pelletier, drew from their experience at Joint Special Operations Command to address the challenges of continuous security testing under resource constraints. Horizon3 now serves approximately 7,200 to 7,300 customers, ranging from small businesses to Fortune 10 enterprises, in an addressable market estimated in the tens of billions of dollars.
