Foundation Future Industries, a start-up backed by Eric Trump, has announced a strategic partnership with chipmaker AMD to develop autonomous humanoid robots. The robots are intended for both military and industrial applications.
Eric Trump, who has been an investor in the company since early this year, also serves as its chief strategy advisor. The company plans to integrate AMD's Ryzen AI Embedded X100 Series processors into the second version of its robot, the Phantom MK-2.
The start-up, founded in 2024, stated that its Phantom MK-1 robots have already been deployed to assist in building over 24,000 cars in 2025. Foundation Future Industries plans to open a factory in October with an annual capacity of 5,000 robots, and has further plans to construct another facility early next year capable of producing 50,000 robots annually, according to CEO Sankaet Pathak.
For industrial use, the robots will be leased to customers at an approximate cost of $100,000 per year. On the defense side, the company is developing robots for materials handling and reconnaissance, which will be sold to the government at $300,000 per unit.
