The murder trial involves Vickrum Digwa, who is accused of murdering Henry Nowak, a Southampton University student. Footage filmed in Southampton shows Digwa brandishing a gun in his back garden three years prior to the event. Digwa, 23, is serving at least 21 years in prison for the stabbing. He was also banned from another gurdwara over concerns about his behaviour. The festival of Eid in the Park was cancelled due to potential clashes with protests planned following the murder.
