A worker died on Monday afternoon after falling from a building under construction at a public housing site in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. Police received a report at 2:25 p.m. from a staff member at the Yan Po Road site that a 33-year-old man had fallen about 44 meters from a building under construction and was found unconscious. He was rushed to Tuen Mun Hospital but was certified dead at 3:11 p.m. The case has been classified as an industrial accident. In a separate incident, an 86-year-old woman died on Monday morning after falling from her flat while cleaning a window at a residential estate in Discovery Bay. Police received a report around 10 a.m. from security staff who discovered the woman lying unconscious outside the building. Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced her dead at the scene. Police suggested the woman might have lost her footing.
