The Kremlin has indicated that there are no immediate plans for a direct telephone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Tuesday that while U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner continue to engage with both Russia and Ukraine through existing channels, a specific date for their visit to Russia has not been determined.
Peskov noted that the mediation process concerning the conflict in Ukraine is currently on hold.
