Hong Kong’s Urban Renewal Authority (URA) will provide assistance to owners of 40 housing estates that are undergoing maintenance work. The URA announced on Tuesday that it would launch tenders for these estates, which had previously engaged Will Power Architects as their consultant. The move comes after the original consultant came under investigation following a deadly Tai Po fire, making it "extremely unlikely" that the firm would be able to continue its services. The URA's intervention aims to ensure the continuity of the maintenance projects by helping the estates hire temporary reviewers.
